Raspberry Devil's Food Cake Recipe
For the cake:
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅔ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • ½ cup full fat sour cream
  • ⅔ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
For the frosting:
  • 8 oz bittersweet chocolate (70% cocoa solids), finely chopped
  • 2 cups 35% whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp sugar
For the filling:
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup 35% whipping cream
  • 1 pint fresh raspberries, rinsed and dried
