I love this cheesecake with chocolate and walnuts. It’s a triple choc feast too – plenty of dark, milk and white chocolate to keep even the most ardent chocoholic satisfied.

There’s also an Oreo biscuit crust on the bottom and a chocolate sauce on top. Just as well you get to sprinkle on some walnuts, which are the perfect accompaniment for this chocolate bonanza.

They add a taste and texture contrast which cuts through all of that chocolate goodness.

Cheesecake with Chocolate and Walnuts Recipe
For the Oreo crust:
  • About 24 Oreo cookies, fillings discarded [meaning approximately 48 individual wafer biscuit discs]
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
For the filling:
  • 3 8-oz packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 eggs
  • 8 oz [about 1 cup] sour cream
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 4 oz white chocolate
  • 4 oz dark [60%] chocolate
For the chocolate ganache:
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup
