Marble Cake: Banana Cake with Chocolate

This banana cake with chocolate recipe is an old-fashioned marble cake that, like all banana cake, is simply delicious.

But add the melted dark chocolate marbled through the cake and you have something quite magnificent.

With a smattering of walnuts and nutmeg, this gorgeous cake is moist and lush and the flavours are perfectly balanced.

What’s more, it’s surprisingly easy to make. The cake probably looks a little fancier than it is thanks to the striking swirling marble effect. Just be careful not to over-stir your mixture when you are marbling through the chocolate.

Gluten free too if that’s a factor for you.
